The easy-to-install Honeywell Home manual electric baseboard thermostat works on 4-wire (double-pole) electric heat applications (baseboard or line volt) and allows for simple, worry-free operation. It has a simple dial-type mechanical control and is UL- and CSA listed for safety. The Honeywell YCT410B1000 Manual 4 Wire Premium Baseboard/Line Volt Thermostat is a simple to install thermostat that's compatible with 120, 240, and 227 vac baseboard systems. This thermostat's versatility is increased substantially with its implementation of a 2 or 4 wire nonpolarized connection. Temperature control is further boosted with a dual-diaphragm that actively senses. The YCT410B1000's versatility is only matched by its strength to hold up to an impressive 5,2800W. Honeywell's roots reach to 1885 when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, in April 1886, and soon invented a device he called the "damper flapper" - an ingenious predecessor to the modern thermostat.
